Of Switzerland county. One of two deaths in the previous year at the Asylum. Died of erysipelas. "Her end, too, was peaceful. Though but a few months a pupil of the Asylum, she departed this life with a strong assurance of going to a brighter and better world." [Note: the other death was that of Elizabeth Vanderpool on 8 May 1851. A picture of her tombstone is in the Pictures section of DeafBiographies.] |
